Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in the state has taken a big step toward making the youth of the state self-reliant and connecting the youth power with employment, self-employment and entrepreneurship. It was decided to constitute TCP Cell (Training, Counseling and Placement) with a view to prepare the youth of the state by giving them skill training according to the demand of the market and to provide them with a proper platform for placement by establishing contact with companies.
The constitution of TCP cells will be different at the state and district level. The main objective of the Yogi government behind this is to provide a platform, for skilled youth who are interested in employment or self-employment in any field, through career counselling, campus placement, apprenticeship fair, and employment fair. So that after getting vocational training in ITI, they can contribute to the sustainable economic development of the state and the country by becoming self-reliant.
The responsibility of the state-level TCP cell will be to monitor/supervise the career counselling and placement work being done at the district level, coordinate with the establishments/companies, and corporations and provide necessary guidance to the district-level TCP cell. The meeting of this committee will be held quarterly. State-level TCP cell will be headed by Principal Secretary, Vocational Education and Skill Development and Vice-chairman/Special Secretary, Vocational Education and Skill Development.
At the same time, the District Level Cell will be headed by the District Magistrate and the Chief Development Officer as the Vice-Chairman. It will be the responsibility of the TCP cell to prepare for the placement day in ITI every month and upload the details of the candidates on the departmental website. Along with this, in coordination with the companies, their information and human resource demand should also be put on the website. The committee will also do the work of motivating all the candidates in the employment fair and publicity of the program.
