Yogi 2.0 first presents first budget of 6.15 lakh crore, here are 10 key takeaways

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Minister Suresh Khanna presented the first budget of the second term of the Yogi government in the assembly on Thursday. The Finance Minister presented the biggest budget in the history of UP. Yogi government has made 6 lakh 15 thousand 518 crore 97 lakh rupees. New schemes worth Rs 39 thousand 181 crore 10 lakh are included in the budget. Suresh Khanna started his budget speech by expressing his gratitude to the public for giving him another chance.

Along with this, he also praised the work of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the rule of law and Corona in the state. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said in his budget address that in 2019, the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set a target of five trillion economy. The contribution of the state is important in fulfilling the target of the Prime Minister. Therefore, a target has been set to strengthen the economy of the state and make it an economy of 1 trillion.

Suresh Khanna said that the government is determined for the all-round development of the state. He said that today the state has come out of the category of backward states and has joined the leading states. Today, investment is happening rapidly in the state, due to which five lakh jobs have been created. Not only this, it has become the first state to have five expressways and five international airports.

Old age, widow pension and disability pension doubled

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that the amount of old age pension, destitute women pension and handicapped pension has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 in UP.

2100 crore for 14 medical colleges

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that a budget provision of Rs 2100 crore is proposed for 14 medical colleges of the state. The government is working on a large scale to improve the health system in the state.

600 crores for Chief Minister’s mass marriage scheme

The Finance Minister said that a provision of Rs 600 crore has been made in the budget for the ongoing Chief Minister’s mass marriage scheme in the state.

Village Unnati Yojana in the name of Kalyan Singh

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that in the name of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, Gram Unnati Yojana has been brought in UP. Under this, solar lights will be installed on the roads of the villages. Green Energy Corridor will be developed in Bundelkhand and Suryakund in Ayodhya.

Budget for Varanasi and Gorakhpur Metro

The Finance Minister said that Rs 100 crore has been earmarked for Varanasi and Gorakhpur Metro in the budget. Apart from this, there is a proposal of budget of 747 crores for Kanpur Metro Rail. 597 crore for Agra Metro Rail, 1306 crore for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor.

Emphasis on women’s safety

The Finance Minister said that in order to maintain the security of women and girls in the state, “Women Help Desk” has been set up at all 1535 police stations of all the districts of the state, designating women beat constables. Where their grievances are being redressed respectfully. This has instilled a sense of security among women, effective action is being taken on their complaints immediately. In the districts of the state, 2,740 women police personnel were allotted 10,370 women beats. For maximum participation of women, 03 Women PAC Battalions Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Badaun are being formed. In the call of Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao, 100 topper girl students of UPSEE 2018 were given laptops and 100 topper SC/ST girl students were given laptops. A provision of Rs 20 crore has been proposed for the safety and empowerment of women and skill development under the Mission Shakti program in the micro and small scale industries. In order to motivate the Anganwadi workers for better performance, incentive amount is being provided at the rate of 1500 rupees per month from September 2021.

Target to create 4 lakh jobs in 5 years

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that the government has set a target of providing four lakh jobs in the next five years. He informed that 7540 posts will be recruited in secondary education. 10 thousand posts will be filled in medical colleges.

Rs 10 crore for young advocates

The Finance Minister said that there is a provision of Rs 10 crore for young advocates in the budget. With which they will be able to buy books and magazines for 3 years. A budget of 100 crores has been given for Prayagraj Law University. 705 crore budget for Allahabad High Court. 600 crores for the court and residence of the judges. 50 crores for installation of CCTV cameras in the court. 90 crore budget for Advocate Welfare Fund. A budget of 20 crores is proposed for the construction of Advocate Chamber.

Budget for religious tourism

The Finance Minister said that Sant Ravidas and Sant Kabir Museum will be built in Varanasi. Both the museums got a budget of 25-25 crores. 300 crore budget is proposed for the construction of Ram Janmabhoomi temple road. 209 crore budget for public facilities and parking in Ayodhya. 77 crores for the road from Ganga bank to Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi. 100-100 crore for tourism facility in Banaras and Ayodhya

479 crore budget for Madrasas

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna told that a budget of Rs 479 crore has been proposed for Arab-Persian madrassas in the budget. A budget of Rs 795 crore has been made in the minority community scholarship scheme.
