Violent Protest against Agneepath, effects dozen trains going to Bihar

New Delhi: The Agneepath scheme of the central government for recruitment in the army is being opposed across the country. Meanwhile in Bihar, youths preparing for army recruitment, expressed their anger by targeting the railways. In this sequence, incidents of arson came to light at many places, which has been directly affecting the rail operation. About a dozen trains passing through DDU junction where they have stopped.

Due to the ruckus and arson in all the districts of Bihar, about half a dozen trains were stopped at Deendayal Upadhyay area, these include trains towards Bihar 20802 New Delhi-Magadh Express, 19483 Ahmedabad Express, 12362 Bhagalpur Express, 15657 Brahmaputra Mail, 19313 Indore-Patna Express, 15548 Lokmanya Tilak Raxaul Express are included. Apart from this, about half a dozen trains of UP have also been stopped there.

Leave of policemen posted in GRP canceled due to Agneepath protests

At the same time, the railway administration has become alert in view of the security arrangements. Due to which the security system was increased at Deen Dayal Junction. Duty of security personnel has been imposed on the roads leading inside the station. All the people coming to the station are being given entry after checking. On the other hand, in view of the students’ protest and the call for Bharat Bandh, the leave of policemen and officers posted in GRP has been canceled. Leaves of all policemen have been canceled with immediate effect till 23rd June.
