UP Budget Session: Uproar in assembly on the first day, proceedings adjourned till 11 am tomorrow

Lucknow: The first day of the budget session of the 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh began on Monday saw uproar from the opposition fiercely parties on the issue of inflation, unemployment and law and order. In the midst of protest by SP MLAs, UP Governor Anandiben Patel started reading her address.

Opposition members were holding placards and banners on various issues, including restoration of old pension, law and order and the problem of stray cattle. At present, the proceedings of the assembly have been adjourned till 11 am tomorrow. On the very first day of the budget session, there was uproar as soon as Governor Anandiben Patel’s address started in the assembly pavilion in the assembly. In the presence of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party MLAs and Legislative Council members started creating ruckus by sloganeering and placards against the government in their hands.

During this also the Governor has continued her speech, leader of the opposition party Akhilesh Yadav was also witnessing the commotion of the MLAs of his party. Along with the Samajwadi Party, the MLAs of the Rashtriya Lok Dal also created a lot of ruckus in the house.

On the other hand, regarding the first budget of his second term to be presented on May 26, CM Yogi said, ‘For the development of 25 crore people, for the upliftment of citizens, for Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas, this budget is important.’ Yogi Adityanath said, ‘Our aim is to take the development of UP to new heights. Along with this, he warned that any such conduct which would be against the honorable members would not be tolerated.

Appealing to the members, CM Yogi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the work we have done for public welfare, infrastructure development, poor welfare and the overall development of Uttar Pradesh in the last five years, discuss them and discuss the future plans. The House is also the forum of discussion and the Governor’s address is also a medium to display the same voice in which open discussion takes place. If the members leave the noise and participate in the discussion, then many things will come to the fore and the people of the state will get its benefit.
