SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav to visit family of girl who died during police raid in Chandauli

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party Chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav will be visiting the girl who died during a police raid in Manrajpur village of Chandauli district of UP. Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav will reach Chandauli on Monday and meet Kanhaiya Yadav and his family. Kanhaiya Yadav has accused the police of assaulting and killing his daughters. Akhilesh Yadav will reach Babatpur airport in Varanasi at 10.40 am today by private plane from Amausi airport in Lucknow from where he will go to Sayedaraja of Chandauli by road.

According to the information, Akhilesh Yadav will meet the victim’s family in Syedaraja for about three and a half hours. After that he will return to Lucknow. In view of Akhilesh Yadav’s Chandauli tour, heavy police force has been deployed around the victim’s house. On the other hand, the family members of the victim have expressed their dissatisfaction over the investigation of the police.

Earlier on May 1, the police team that went to nab the gangster Kanhaiya Yadav is alleged to have entered the house and assaulted both the daughters of the accused, in which one of his daughter Nisha had died. In this entire matter, District Magistrate Sanjeev Kumar has ordered a magisterial inquiry. The DM has appointed SDM Sadar, Avinash Kumar as the investigating officer. He was directed to investigate and submit the report within 15 days. In this case, the SP has handed over the investigation to the ASP, but the victim’s family was demanding a high-level inquiry.

On the other hand, in the postmortem report of the deceased, there are scratches on the neck and injury marks on the jaw. However, the report did not give a clear cause of death. So the viscera has been preserved. A case has been registered in this case suspending the SHO.
