Chandigarh: The slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was already apprehensive of a deadly attack on him. He had approached a US arms and body armor dealer last year for a bullet proof jacket for himself. In an interview given to a news channel, US-based Vicky Man Singh informed that Sidhu Moose Wala had asked him for body armor i.e. bullet proof jacket through snap chat. Vicky revealed that he had informed Moose Wala about two types of jackets. He was informed about two types of soft and hard bullet proof jackets, after which Moose Wala preferred hard bullet proof jackets.
This jacket could protect the body from bullets even SLR guns. The weight of this jacket was about 4 kg. Vicky Mann told that Sidhu Moose Wala had told him that a friend of his would take this jacket from him. Although later no one contacted for this. Vicky Singh Mann supplies weapons to the army in America and he also has a good knowledge of weapons. He also claimed that the AN-94 gun was not used to kill Moose Wala.
Vicky said that his experience tells that it is not possible to use this gun for killing, as the AN-94 is a rare weapon and its chances of getting it in India are very less. He also told that the smuggling of AK-47 from Pakistan has been heard many times, but till now the recovery of such weapon in smuggling has not come to the fore.
Vicky further said that the shells of bullets of AN-94 and AN-74 are similar and they are used in both rifles. According to his experience, he has ruled out any possibility of using AN-94.
