Tech Desk: Usually, a flagship smartphone gets a lot of hype before its launch, however we don’t see such excitement before the launch of a mid-range phone but there has been a lot of excitement about Nothing Phone 1. After making headlines for its looks and design for a long time, finally Nothing Phone 1 was launched on Tuesday in several markets including India.
Before going into the specifications of the phone, let us tell you about the most unique feature of Nothing Phone 1. Actually, the phone has a semi-transparent back panel, which has LED strips, which allow the user to choose a unique light pattern for many functions including notifications, ringtones. The design of the phone is also unique. The phone has been introduced in two color options Black and White.
The Nothing Phone 1 has a flattened aluminum frame. The touch is slick and its rounded edges make it comfortable to hold. The height of the phone is 193.5g. The power and volume buttons are placed on opposite sides of the frame, making them easy to use with one hand. At the bottom, there is a dual-SIM tray, a USB Type-C port and a speaker.

Nothing Phone 1 Specifications
Dual-SIM (Nano) Nothing Phone 1 runs on Android 12. It gets a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display, which comes with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Corning Gorilla Glass is also available in the back of the smartphone. The smartphone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chip paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
4,500mAh battery supporting 33w charging
The Nothing Phone 1 packs a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 33W wired charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging. Up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage is available in the phone. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6 Direct, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and USB Type-C port. Apart from this, IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, dual stereo speakers and three microphones have also been provided in the phone.
A dual-camera 50 megapixel setup
Nothing Phone 1 gets a dual-camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors. The first setup is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor paired with a /1.88 aperture lens and comes with OIS as well as EIS image stabilization, while the second 50-megapixel sensor is the Samsung JN1 and is rated with a /2.2 aperture ultra- Paired with wide angle lens. The phone offers many features including Panorama Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Scene Detection, Extreme Night Mode and Expert Mode. On the front of the phone, there is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor with /2.45 aperture lens for selfie and video calling. Facial Recognition is available in Nothing Phone 1.
