Maharashtra Political Crisis: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says, ‘Send MLAs to Bengal, we will do hospitality’

New Delhi: As the political crisis in Maharashtra continues today on Thursday, many more Shiv Sena MLAs have blown the bugle against CM Uddhav Thackeray, now TMC Chief an d West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also made her entry. All the rebel MLAs are currently staying at Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati. Now TMC has also entered in the political crisis of Maharashtra. On Thursday, workers of TMC’s Assam unit protested outside Hotel Radisson Blu. Now CM Mamata Banerjee has also targeted the BJP regarding the political situation in Maharashtra.

According to a news by Hindustan Times, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday accused the BJP of trying to topple the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. She has asked why the MLAs were being sent to the flood-affected state of Assam, and even said, “Send the Maharashra MLAs to Bengal, we will give them hospitality.”

CM Banerjee also accused BJP of crushing democracy. She said, “I am sad that the BJP government has completely demolished the federal structure.” On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee also took a dig at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday.

Abhishek Banerjee said that the priorities of the Himanta Biswa Sarma government are completely clear. The government is fully engaged in following Delhi’s order to host the rebel MLAs. Abhishek Banerjee tweeted that I wish Himanta Biswa Sarma was concerned more about the flood-affected victims and less about toppling the Maharashtra government.

The rebel MLAs were first kept in Surat, after which all the MLAs were sent to Guwahati. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was criticized by the opposition for this, but he rejected all the allegations. CM Sarma had said in his statement that he would be happy if Guwahati becomes the center of international politics, as it will help the state in earning revenue.
