Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj gets emotional on getting debut cap in Australia

New Delhi: Indian cricketer and pacer Mohammed Siraj is now a part of the Indian team. In IPL, Siraj has played for RCB and due to his strong bowling, he has now managed to make a place for himself in the Indian cricket team. Siraj was with the team on the Indian team’s tour of Australia in the year 2021 and was also a part of India’s famous victory against the Kangaroos.

At the trailer launch of the upcoming Wes series ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ on Voot, Siraj said, ‘It was very difficult for me. My father was also ill during the IPL. But, my family did not tell about the seriousness of the matter. I came to know about my father’s condition when I landed in Australia. There the Kovid protocol was also to be followed. We had to be quarantined.

After the practice was over, I came to know about the death of my father. At that time my mother gave me strength. She told me, fulfill your father’s dream and give the country a chance to be proud of you. This was my motivation. I didn’t even know whether I would get a chance to play or not, there were senior bowlers in the team.

Siraj did not even know whether he would get a chance to play while the senior bowlers were in the team. Siraj said, ‘I finally got a chance in the second Test, when I put on my cap, I thought father should have been here.’ Siraj got a place in the team after Mohammed Shami’s injury.
