If Akhilesh had given me 100 seats, we would have been in power: Shivpal Yadav

Lucknow: The Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) President, Shivpal Singh Yadav has once again trained guns at his nephew and Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav. The PSPL Chief who is also a SP MLA from Jaswantnagar assembly seat, not just praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath but also said that if Akhilesh would have given 100 seats to candidates suggested by him, then SP would have been in power in the state.

Speaking to media on the third day of the budget session of UP assembly, Shivpal Yadav said, “Only if he (Akhilesh) had accepted his advice and took him along, then the view of the assembly would have been different. The ruling party would have been sitting in the opposition.”

Actually, before the assembly elections, Shivpal Yadav had demanded 100 seats, but only one seat was given to him. Shivpal Yadav said that if his people had got tickets, Akhilesh would have been sitting in the ruling party today, and not the opposition.

Praising the UP CM during discussion in UP assembly. Shivpal Yadav said, “The government is working on the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. The Chief Minister is a saint, he is a Yogi and Yoga means to unite. The Chief Minister is honest and hardworking. He wants to take the state to the heights. But he cannot reach that height alone, for this he has to take everyone along.” After this, BJP MLAs supported his point by thumping the table.

After this Shivpal directly targeted Akhilesh Yadav and said, “I had said to give tickets to 100 people, whose names were also announced two years back. Had tickets been given to those 100 people, the opposition would have been in power today.”
