Former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe shot in Nara

Japan: The former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe was reportedly shot at in Nara on Thursday, Japanese news agency NHK reported. As per the news agency said that Abe was shot while he was giving a speech. A suspect has been detained by the authorities in this regard. As per information three shots were fired at Shinzo Abe.

The former prime minister’s attacker was caught by the police. The incident occurred at around 11:30pm (local time). The assailant was a male.The news reporter from NHK news agency said that the former prime minister was bleeding due to the gunshot wound.

Japanese news agencies said he was taken to the hospital immediately. He suffered from a cardiac arrest shortly after being shot, news agencies reported.
