Dubai: On Tuesday, India will look to hit back harder in India vs Sri Lanka Super 4 match with losing the 1st contest against Pakistan. During pre-match press conference, Sri Lankan Skipper Dasun Shanaka did not stop himself from praising and admiring India as a tough opponent, after Dasun Shanaka was involved in war of words along with against Bangladesh which was a virtual knockout game after that they win their first Super 4 clash against Afghanistan, who were handed the first lost of this competition.

India and Sri Lanka game has not been much a top list must watch game, but surely another Thrilling game. Looking back at Sri Lanka and India contest head to head, India are far better than Sri Lankan side in all three department (Batting, Bowling and Fielding) and they are ahead of Sri Lanka with the equation of 17-7 out total game played in T20I. Somewhat, some of the fans also consider this contest as ‘boring’ contest with India dominating mostly in the contest. The pitch report is somewhat same for Dubai with toss as an important factor of the game as wickets in Dubai are getting better as bounce are settling in. This contest is also regarded as the battle of Spin Vs Bat.

Team news for Sri Lanka is positive as their are no injury scare also, to note that Shanaka is relied heavily on Wanindu Hasaranga and Mahela Teekhsana, Shanaka is also expected to bring in Dhanajaya De Silva in place of Charitha Asalanka as third spinning option for the squad. Sri Lanka who were defeated in the first game and scoring just 105 runs had a morale boost win in next two game. Sri Lankan batters are not much a globe-trotting T20l. Against Afghanistan Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathalika and Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored quick fire 30s. They may follow same plan against Indian side.

Though India lost on the first clash of Super four, but they still have some positives with quick fire runs scored by KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma also Virat Kohli coming in form by scoring 60 runs off 44 balls, other batters on the other end scored 45 off 45 balls. It’s high time for India to beat Sri Lanka to keep their Asia Cup hopes alive. With Avesh Khan available, India could return to their old combination with three pacers, one spinner and two allrounders. That could mean Ravi Bishnoi could be replaced by Axar Patel even doing well against Pakistan. India Is also looking to replace Risabh Pant with Dinesh Karthik.

The key fight will be between Surya Kumar Yadav and Kusal Mendis with both players having best strike rated in Asia Cup 2022. There is also one player who will look to shut down his critics i.e., Arshdeep Singh, who will look to comeback after fake Khalistani Propaganda.
